Alaa Beladi is a graduate student of Linguistics at the University of Florida, with an interest in sociophonetics, phonology, speech perception, and cross-linguistic phonetics.
Her research explores how people perceive speech through both auditory and visual cues, with a focus on the integration of audiovisual and audio-tactile cues in speech perception, using behavioral experiments and acoustic analysis to understand cross-linguistic patterns. Her work combines experimental methods and statistical modeling to study sensory integration in language processing.
